I'm excited to announce that I'm headed back to Sebring International Raceway for the Historic SportsCar Racing races with photo / media credentials tomorrow morning and returning on Friday afternoon. I'm stoked as I haven't photographed race cars since 2009, my last active year. I'm working on getting back into it, with hopes to return to Road Atlanta next year. In the 6-hour Endurance Cup race in Jeddah (KSA), BMW M Team WRT narrowly missed the podium with both BMW M4 GT3s. The #32 car crossed the finish line under the floodlights in fourth place, closely followed by the #46 in fifth. In the team championship standings, BMW M Team WRT is crowned champion.

At the spectacular season finale of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, BMW M works drivers and BMW M Motorsport teams will race the BMW M4 GT3 in pursuit of titles. The final 6-hour race, held under floodlights, will see Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts (both BEL), along with BMW M Team WRT, competing for victories in the overall standings of the GT World Challenge Europe, encompassing both the Sprint and Endurance Cups. Decisions in the Endurance Cup also remain open, with BMW M factory drivers, BMW M Team WRT, and ROWE Racing vying for the titles.

In the 2025 season, it gains a new dimension as the BMW M Racing Academy is launching as a development programme for GT4-category racers. The “Class of 2025” includes Spain’s Nerea Martí, Turkey’s Berkay Besler, Matthew Million from the USA, and Germany’s Niels Tröger. This quartet impressed BMW M Motorsport’s decision-makers during a rigorous selection process and will undergo a unique development programme in 2025, unparalleled in customer racing. BMW M works driver Bruno Spengler (CAN) will mentor the participants, while Dirk Adorf (GER) will contribute his extensive experience from previous talent development initiatives, including the BMW Junior Team.
